Priya Dharan is a well-respected healthcare and medical device product management and marketing professional who is very passionate about bringing innovative solutions to the market. She is currently part of WELLINOVA INC., offering consulting services to healthcare, medical device and wellness market segment. Prior to this Priya was an independent strategy & marketing consultant for 15 plus years.
From 2010 to 2018 Priya was the Chair of marketing and fundraising for the SOUTH ASIAN HEART CENTER at El Camino Hospital with a mission to prevent heart attacks and diabetes in Indians and South Asians – was instrumental in launching life-saving programs & helping to educate physicians and consumers and disease prevention. She was an award-winning volunteer fundraiser for the organization.
Priya has held a strategic leadership role as Director of Strategic and Global Marketing at RESOUND CORPORATION from 1991-1999. In her role, she led worldwide marketing teams, launched new hearing healthcare products and product line extensions, developed and maintained the company’s product road map. Served as senior program engineer in the Engineering Department, and in research. The primary engineer on novel hearing contact lens product.
Priya is a respected community leader and has been a board member in several non-profit organizations from 1991-2010. A sample of organizations she has been part of includes Abhinaya Dance Company, Weingarten Children’s Center, Blue Mountain Center of Meditation, Palo Alto Chapter Volunteer, Young Men’s Service League and few more.
Priya has an ABD from Norman OK | MSEE from HoustonTX | BSEE from Chennai India. In addition, she has received Executive education certifications from Northwestern’s Kellogg School & Harvard University. Pragmatic Institute Level III certified. Artistically trained in Classical BharataNatyam by Dr. Padma Subrahmaniam.
